The Whole Armor of God

Ephesians 6:10–11 (ESV)10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

How can the Christian survive in a world that is constantly at odds with God’s word and will? How can we stand against the constant pressure that would push us away from the foundation of our faith? We cannot do it in our own strength. We must rely on the Lord and all he has given us to equip us for the battle we find ourselves in. We must put on the armor of God – the whole thing!

Remember that our battle is ultimately bigger than what we see. There are evil forces at work in the world. Satan is at work and desires to wreck us, but God has given us what we need to survive and thrive. We will be looking at those things over the next few days. What do you think they are?
